Seriously Driod engineers have garbage driods the only driod that is really used is med driod(which can sell for up to 150k, most ive seen on starsider) And then only 1driod is purchased by a Medic/Doctor we all know there are not to many docs so the income for a driod engineer must SUCK and as for being able to create decent fighting driods *LAUGH* seriously doh why hasnt driod engineer ever recieved any new content??are all u guys here to scared to let your voice be heard or?

First, I'll ignore the antagonistic nature of your post.

Actually droids got almost a whole patch dedicated to them a couple of months ago, a lot of new droid typeswere added. A lot of types besides med droids are pretty popular, they all sell.

Combat droids are also a lot better, many people like the "Tank" versions, they are great for holding agro on a mob without taking xp.

How about YOU try getting these devs to help us at all when their faces are duck-taped to the "combat revamp" and cant think of anything otherwise, as for DE still being broken, good question, ask the devs, not us, we know as much as you do as to why the DE is more borked than it was at launch.

I see. So...people never need to craft anywhere except for the PCS in their house?

Uhhh....yea, right.

we all know there are not to many docs

I guess you're saying that people on your server don't ever rez? Is that it?

.....come on. /shake

and as for being able to create decent fighting driods *LAUGH* seriously doh why hasnt driod engineer ever recieved any new content??

Yes...the 2 publishes we got garnered us no content at all. /shakesHisHead...

Note: I think you're not very well educated on the realities of what's gone down with us, man.

are all u guys here to scared to let your voice be heard or?

Take your bile over your views of us and our products elsewhere, man......really, really.

If you want to be a lot more respectful about your concerns, then please voice them that way. The DE boards were in flames for a long time. It'll not go back to that on my watch.

What TK said. Most DEs aren't DEs because of the credits. We do it because droid making is complex, fun and with so many module combinations for people who know how to get the most out of a droid we get more customer contact than the average SWG crafter.

For instance, I carry parts around with me so that when someone says 'hey man, can you make me a droid that does this...' I can make them one on the spot. That makes it fun.

I'm still hoping that JTL is going to really mix things up. I'm hoping that droids can be targeted and destroyed (or seriously damaged) in space. I'm hoping that our droids will be as important as a ship's shields, if not more. I'm hoping, but even if just sell a few R2s with a generic 'ship program' module, it will still be fun.

DEs craft interesting droids now, and hope for a better tomorrow so you can take your negativity to another thread. Maybe BEs will listen to you.

we just got tired.

After months of uselessness we finally had a nice teaser of what droids could(should) be in SWG.

Unfortunately dev stopped there and went to more important stuff like Jedi and JTL.

So, we're there with an unfinished job to deal with.

Not great, not even good IMHO, but enough to let us make a living out of our passion.

And wait until one day, maybe, they'll come back to us and give the main characters of the movies the place they deserve in the game.

I make Droids not sure about these driods you talk about. Droids no matter what they have been built for are tools to supplement skills and not to make up for not having them. As for them being garbage i am sure bounty hunters would disagree there, after all finishing that investigation tree might be a little hard with those probe and seeker droids.

Sounds like that kid just wanted to stir up emotions here. We all know droids aren't perfect and there's lots of stuff we'd like changed, but I'm confident the DE class will be visited again.

I'm happy with my sales (its not monstrous like that of WS and AS), and I enjoy being in a minority profession...makes us more sought after.

In about a month or two's time. (read: when JTL arrives)

How long do you think JTL will help us out with some sort of condition decay? It will be nice, but only for awhile...

I'd really love for JTL to be our ray of sunshine. Sorry for being the party pooper that points out the rain cloud that's in the way.

I appreciate and share the concern, Arden. However, maybe we should wait to see if droids can get damaged first before we start to get out the umbrellas, m'kay?

If droids take battle damage in JTL, you'll actually get to see this old coot smile.

I'll do me best to see that we do. Even if that's not the case at launch, it would give us a good basis to focus all that much more on decay systems for droids (but it will be harder to pull off when having to consider both the ground and space games).
