I heard a rumor that droid modules now have a lifespan and after a certain amount of use they wear out and your droid is destroyed. Terrified I contacted my droid engineer and asked him about it, he said it wasn't true(he's not a liar he just might not have known himself). Well, the other daywhile crafting on my R2 with a chemcraft module I get the message:

"Your droids customization fades a little more.."

Or something similar. What's the deal? I honostly didnt think anyone would be stupid enough to make a droid's lifespan any more limited then the already constricting permadeath but I cant figure out any more logical reason for this message. If this is the case I see no reason to buy droids such as my advanced R2 and advanced surg droid whatsoever. I should just sell them and get several of the cheapest droids available rather than 2 of the best quality.

As far as I have seen this does not matter at all. I heard a rumor it could indicate the colors are fading on your droid (once we CAN actually customize the colors onthem, lol, something is already nerfed before we even get the feature).

Any other DE's know different?

After the meter gets low to like 3 or something it resets. No worries.

I believe it's a precursor to droid power-ups.

Droid customization is a part of a DEs skill, it goes up as you advance up the experiment tree. Customization, when put into the game will allow DEs to change the color of droids. It is a precursor to this being patched into the game, when colors and customization works correctly, it will change the color of the droid and obviously fades over time to keep DEs in business. I got the same message when using my probot, dont worry your modules are safe.
