Thread: Why not have Droid Combat XP
Everyone keeps saying we have to make a way for Droid Engineers to not let just anyone have really good battle droids (that is of course assuming that the Devs deside to GIVE us good battle droids, but lets just kinda assume/hope/pray/sacrifice virgins to the Dev altar for that one) I'm thinking that there should be droid certifications like there are for weapons, but base them on combat XP for your droids. Lets say that as a n00b, you can only use, like the probot. So you go out and you fight with your probot and he gets this droid combat XP for fighting, then as soon as you get enough Droid Combat XP, you can use it to qualify for the basic battle droid certification, then with more XPget certified for Droideka's, then for Super Battle Droids, etc... I'm also saying that DE's already get Certified on the droid's when they get access to the droids blueprints, since, lets face it, if we can MAKE the sucker, we sure as heck should be able to use it too right? In this way, we cant just GIVE our awesome battle droids to n00bs, but people can basically EARN their use. Now i wouldnt require any skill points necesary to be burned, just the Droid Combat XP. I'm no programmer so i have no idea how hard this would be to impliment, but the devs all said how they made it so they could easily add professions, well make this like a real simple proffesion that doesnt require skill points. Not sure if this kind of system would be beneficial to CH for that whole Non-CH having creature pets thing, but maybe just call the whole proffesion tree pets or something and have Creature and Droids being its two trees. Anyway, i'm just seeing this as an effective way to be able to give us the ability to make AWESOME combat droids, while not worrying about the galaxy being overrun with EVERYONE AND THERE MOM having these awesome combat droids. This way you still have to use them and qualify for them, and they can make having a Super Battle Droid be a real pain in the butt to get, but be really rewarding, like any Master level proffesion is. Lets see what you guys think.

Why have a droid cert? Everyone can get a pet that's got 3k ham, the equivalent of a pre-nerfed probot.
that would definitly be good.
its like creature handler, not only training the pet gives u xp, so also using droids should do.
there should be stronger combat bots (only avaliable to advanced profession players)
and droid engineers should be able to use multiple droid at a time, because they are much better in controlling droids than brawler or other professions (as they have build them).
also combat xp would be good as nearly all other proffesions dont have so much ressource costs to get xp.
i mean 48000xp by building mousedroides at 140 each... (noone buys none master droids)
