I had an interesting thing happen to me last night. I had my probot out and on guard while I was camping/sampling (I play a scout/creature handler). I got distracted by something and had to go AFK, I left my character logged in since I figured I would be back.

Well, since I was pretty tired when I got back, I just went to bed and forgot to log out my character. I logged back in this morning (after the servers rebooted) to go sell some resources, an noticed my probot was gone. Now I don't mean he was not called, I mean he was gone from the datapad. I thought I might have been attacked while I was AFK, but I looked at the combat chat and didn't see any signs of attack up until the time I was gone. This is the second time I had a droid disappear on me like that, and I was wondering if anybody had any ideas.

I figure this might be a concern to you droid engineers because this experience has really made me reconsider purchasing another droid. As we all know the money situation has gotten a little tighter in this game and I can't afford to be buying droids over and over again after they disappear.

Some additional facts. I didn't release it. In fact I purposely change the release command to some off the wall text so that I never accidently type it. Also I am wondering if this has to do with SOE logging your character out but the droid still be alive on the server. And when you get relogged, it not appearing. I don't think it has to do anything with that "Your droids customizations slowly disappear" spam. At any rate, any information regarding the disappearance of mymissing droid is appreciated.

I don't think that's the problem Nelus, but thanks for your thoughts. I had my canoid out along with my droid when I was sampling. When I logged in, my canoid was back in the datapad, but not the probot.

maybe droids go wild like pets do when left behind (afk is considert by the pets as left)

hmm i have other probs with the pets and droids, the automatically store in the mid of combat, they stop after afew 100 meter when leaving the city or walking to a city (after that they dont react on any commands (its not out of power as recharging doesnt make a difference). and after i call a pet/droid everything begins to lag seriously (how can this be 100 players on screen dont cause lag but 1 pet), mobs become only visible after standing next to them for 30sec and lairs and theirmobs doesnt spawn anymore just because of one pet.
