Thread: Do you have to master DE to be successful?
Hey, I'm an aspiring DE, but I just read the upcoming update to Rangers and frankly if all of that gets in place I have the greatest urge to master that. The problem is that skill points wont allow. I have a couple of options.
Plan A
- Master Ranger
- Master DE
- Only be able to handle a DL20ta or DL44
Plan B
- Master Ranger
- Only go up the DE tree to 4,3,0,4 or a variation
- Novice Rifleman
Any thoughts or suggestions would be nice. Thanks.
That said you'll probably get a lot more tells when people do a Search and spot an MDE than when they spot a Droid Designer.
Another big question is whether or not you're a Master Artisan. If you can't build GP Modules, Control Units, or Electronic Memory Modules its going to be a lot harder (unless you find a good source to sell you several crates of said products)
1,2,0,4 is useless, IMO.
You can't build clothing crafting stations (a big seller). You can't build even 40% light armor, so your probots will be horribly mangled by a sneeze from a passing chuba. You can't build R2s. You can't build any component above level 2. It's like you picked the absolute worst progression ![]()
At least you didn't get experimentation, tho - that would be too funny.
3,3,0,3 is just fine, I'd think - all crafting stations except structural, level 4 modules, and you can make r2s and probots. If I don't go all the way, I'll go 4,3,0,4 so I can have advanced probots and all the crafting stations.

terrible advice, without the exper points your moudals would be craptacular

Wait a minute, don't you need production 4 to make socket clusters? You can make R2s without it, but with no modules... unless I'm mistaken.
Whoops... I'm an idjit... just looked at the tree again. ![]()
Yes, 3,3,03 would work. Juat made 2,2,0,2 myself. ![]()
