Just throwing this out there in response to Gnome's "leak" on the dev's thought processes for DE right now- but what about an independant certification system for these things that can be bought with skill points outside of a class/level system?
Say I'm a non-DE profession and I want some droid muscle to save my bacon when things go wrong. 5 skill points will get me one (more powerful than the current, maybe lv 15) probot with room for craftingish modules. 10 skill points would get me one fairly powerful droideka (lv 20, 25ish?) with maybe room for a storage module, and 15 skill points would get me one of whatever is the terminator model (lv 30-40ish), no room inside.
Wanting to have a second droid out at the same time would require a second certification payment and only DE could have one lv 10 droid out at the same time as their skill purchased droids.
Anyone can use any of today's normal droids for no skill cost, but skills other than DE may only have one lv 10 droid out at a time, DE's able to have 2 unless they have a skill purchased droid out.
