Thread: Half powered DH Half skillpoints.

Not everyone wants to use droids or pets, if you give certs to characters to use powerful droids (cl over 10) then characters who don't want to use them will be severely disadvantaged/nerfed.
About the only compromise I can see is have a half skill point cost DH profession that ends up being half as powerful as CH (cl 35) but only costs half as much skill points to master.

Just a thought, but instead of any sort of profession, what about attatching a skillpoint cost directly to the droid, and having your skillpoints automatically invested in the highest level droid on the datapad. Integrating that with the "Droid NPC" system described in this post http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=droid_engineer&message.id=53337
(Read the entire thread, it's a great idea) so that you are paying exp and skillpoints for a droid, but not into some arbitrary profession, and not in a way that would upset the game balance
