Can you run a Droid shop with out Master Artisan?
I don't have the point if I go DE/Smuggler

you could always have a Master Artisan produce crates of components for you, but that's a pain in the butt and more costly than doing it yourself

It really depends on your ingame situation.
In my PA its easy: when I need new MA parts I just give a call to our MA, he puts the schematics into my factory and the next day they´re ready.
If your on your own or don´t have a MA who does it for you I would recommend taking MA yourself.

Its a lot easier than most people will try and convice you. Run in to any populated city, shout out that you'll pay a master artisan 5k for 2 minutes of their time, and have them make a schematic for 1000 of whatever part you need at the time. I do this all the time, generally takes 2-3 minutes to find a master artisan (I don't actually ask any directly, otherwise I could probably get it done immediately).
