OK hows about this for a Droid Usage Certification system.

Droids upto the equivalent of CL10 can be used by anybody

Higher Level Droids can be operated by :

All --> A droid Engineer (related to 1 of the 4 trees, prob. experimentation)

The rest of use have to earn them via a cerificate granted from Faction Point expenditure some of which require you to be overt.

Thus we encourage the GCW allow anyone to use them and dont need a new class !

Neutral folks can either...be happy with CL10 bots, use CL10 critters, dabble in Droid Engineering....

You cant use any mega weapon in SWG without some form of qualification....I see it as synonomous to saying why cant a Chef use a Lightning Cannon...the answer is....he's a Chef !

So if your not in the 'war' or a droid familiar (via the profession) you cant use anything above a 10. Where a 10 will have a 2k of ham and circa 150 per hit damage......

Keeps things in par with CH and like I say promotes the GCW involvement.

of course a DL 10 is 820 ham and 70 points damage

Yeh the current DL 10 needs making more akin to a CL10...so circa 1.5k ham, 20%ish resists, 100ish attack....oh and mebee you dont need to recharge EVERY time it pops out !
