Respectfully,
Once you get the hang of it (and get to Blueprints II), it goes pretty quickly. Most people find that they are resource limited at that point, meaning that they're fully capable of grinding away a day's worth of harvesting in about an hour and then have to wait a day to keep grinding.
Even without a macro it's pretty simple to generate 100k XPs an hour practicing Advanced Droid Frame Units. With a macro (and sufficient resources on hand) you can get close to 200k XPs per hour.
Try checking out some of the quick helful macros which dilute clicking all those **edit** "Yes" and "OK" buttons when crafting. LOL. If I were on your server, I would send you my in-game list and explanation on how to use it, but I'm not, sry.
Also, when you get to Droid Blueprints 3, switch over to Advanced Droid Frames. They give a bit more XP per grind.
Doing it on practice also helps. Keeps you from having to empty all of your inventory when it fills up (saves time).
By combining all of these things, I can grind an Advanced Droid Frame Unit every 3.5 seconds. They roughly give about 280 XP, so that equates to 1k XProughly every 10seconds. Not bad. You can master DE in about 5-6 hours of non stop grinding if you do it this way. You do need to set the macro up to control 6crafting tools from your quickbar however.
Advanced Droid Frame Units are acquired at Blueprints 2, not Blueprints 3, and they give 462 XPs in practice mode or 440 in normal mode. 150 steel + 70 fiberplast = 220 resources. XPs = 2 * resources, plus an additional 5% in practice mode.
It's fairly simple to keep 4 crafting tools running even without a macro. At roughly 10 seconds per ADFU (once you're up and running) you're looking at about 2700 XPs per minute. If you can sustain a constant rate, that's over 150k XPs per hour... or if you're more like me and you chat with people while grinding, maybe 100k-120k per hour.
Macro users claim to be able to keep 6 crafting tools running simultaneously, which can increase your output to almost 250k XPs per hour if you're really good at it. YMMV.

You're right, I got ADV Frame Units and General Droid Socket Clusters mixed up...lol.
Asfar as xp, I really dont pay attention I guess...lol.
As far as the Macro, yes...I do use those, and pay attention. I do get 6 of them going at once...lol. Rather than moving my mouse around, I just use my F-Keys and my mouse stays right where the resources pop up. This helps out a lot.
though after you reach MDE, if you choose to stay there, the actual building of droids takes forever. Without factory parts a probot can take 20-30 minutes to make. With factory parts requires a good week or so to get them all ready if you only play a few hours a day since you need about 10 components, and some components will require other components. They will take about2-3 minutes if every part is ready. So if you dont like the mse grind and plan to be a DE, you may want to rethink it.
