Hello DE Community,

My Name is Rezael, Im a very active member of the Naritus Community. I love Droids, People, and Trees. Equally.
I Enjoy Protocol Droids good wit, and an R2's Bleeps.
Droids are very fun and expansive part of SWG. I have put together a 2 Teir Mini Tree and I go into Detail about each part. I am NOT a DE. So I am trying to help us all with this, so dont flame me out of the gate.

We Start With the first Skill Box It Costs 5 Points.

Novice Droid Enthusiast
cert Mouse-Droid Bomb
Cert Advanced Storage Droid

This will give novice droid users 2 new droids one that holds 5 more items then the level regular storage droid, and the Mouse Droid w/ the Bomb capabiltiy.

Now I will Unveil both Tiers at the Same We Have :

Combat Droids and Lifestyle Droids

Tier 1 of each will cost 2 skill points for each box:

Advanced Phaser Droids:
This box will give cert to
advanced phaser droids. They
will be added to a regular
probots attack. this will make probots still in demand.

Assistance Droids:
This skill box will Open up a cert for droids
with multiple crafting stations in the
droid itself.

__________________________________________________________

Tier 2 Will also cost 2 skill points:

Advanced Attack Droid:
a new droid cert will be here
at this stage of the droid enthusiast tree
a player will get to use a new combat droid
with better hams..and better damage but no armor.
id say on par with an oldschool cowardly gurreck.

Advanced Assistance Droid:
This droid here will give players 2 new droids a combination medical droid / medical crafting station,
and or an advanced storage droid / with a crafting station built in the droid.

_________________________________________________________

Tier 3 skill point cost is 2 as well:

Highly Advanced Combat Droids:
There would be an upgrade for the second teir
combat droid to make it more powerful and add light armor.
this cert would be here.

Highly advanced Lifestyle Droid:

this bot will be like the regular lifestyle droid
but have more space in its datapad/have more item holding/
and the crafting stations will be of higher quality.

________________________________________________________

Tier 4 This is where the good stuff happens:

Profession Specific Combat Droids:

All master elite marksman/melee classes (except smuggler/CM/Commando)
get a energy shield droid which is added protection in
combat by a specific damage type (can change by different mods)

Master Smuggler - Contraband Droid - Mobile Vendor which cannot be detected by Imperial NPCs.

Master Commando - Stationary Turret Droid - This droid transforms into a stationary turret the commabdo cannot use any weapons except gernades from the turret.

Profession Specific Lifestyle Droids:
Here is where i fail, i dont know what the crafting professions want..Bioengineers,Rangers, I havent the foggiest. So Here is where i need feedback....

Master Doc/CM - Stim Bot - Why Waste Precious Mind, use Droid Batteries! Load up your stimbs, target something and say Heal! (cannot be used during combat)
It will have different slots for Poison Healing/Disease Healing and Wound Healing (Only 1 type at a time)

______________________________________________________

1 Skill Point Master Droid Enthusiast

Drodeika! - Nuff Said

Mobile Factory Bot - Yes this bot is a mobile factory! load in a schematic and some ingreds and have your self a crate of 10 in a few minutes **caps on 1 crate of 10** per battery!

******************************************************

So There it is.

Let me know what you guys think I also would like Creative Ideas for the Artisan Profession specifc Bots as well as Bio/Ranger etc....

So I think This Could Seriously Work. And would make the Game da 'Bomb!

Rezael!

Oh Yeah, Droid Exp would be gained by using a droid in any way shape or form, and shouldnt too easy nor too hard.

and apprentice exp could be used for the master box.

I can see you have put some thought into this.

However, the problem that I see is that this approach applies certs to non-combat droids - and this should never be the case.

i disagree,

a mobile quick use factory is a GREAT addition...
and should be certed.......

You have, for example, droids with multiple crafting stations at tier 1.

These sort of droids should be able to be used by anyone.

Furthermore, there should be more class specific droids that are certed just by having the profession - a good example are slicer modules that allow the user to choose what to slice, and assist on slicing percentages.

These non-combat droids whould be usable just like anyone who has the appropiate skill can wear the corresponding skill tape.

I see your point....

Ok So What Do You think you could put in the early lifestyle droids boxes...

i do think the droid specific boxes should goto masters and not dabblers, as an extra reward for mastering a profession, how can you use a slicing droid as well as a knife, as well as a clamp and not be a master smuggler.

My opinion is that the mini-skill tree should be for combat droids only. Furthermore, the abilities of the mini-skill tree should be (mostly) mirrored in the DE tree.

See my post on the matter here:

See I Disagree,

If these droids can give one crafter an advantage over another then there should be a skill point associated with it. Crafting has to have balance as well as Combat.

And Thats what My entire plan works around skill point usage for using droids that actually do impressive and amazing things and make us more versatile players, while staying balanced to the game and to other professions.

I also believe basic droids, with only 1 or two modules should be useable by all no matter what, but more advanced droids need special training to use (droid enthusiast).

So, should you have to have special skills to wear armor? To use skill-tape enhanced clothing (and some of that does enhance crafting skills - I have one for droid construction).

I don't think that the idea of certing non-combat droids is going to go over well at all here.....

Darn, no edit button -

Also, I have a +42.5 crafting station in my house. Should that also be certed?

but the fact of the matter is that crafting station is not portable. and maybe a 46%-50% portable crafting station SHOULD be certed.

i mean it would give those who choose to spend those skill points an added benefit...

And then maybe using a advanced lifestyle droid give the crafter a +1 or +2 to max expermentation points...

that would please many crafters...

The point is - and this has been made in many of the combat droid threads - is that many DE's feel that droids should be usable by ANYONE.

So, and this is my feeling as well, a droid with a slicing module to once again use that example should be usable by any smuggler that could slice.

Would it give an advantage? Yes, it would. So does a +14.75 crafting tool over a -5 crafting tool.
