ok a new question then....is there any way to have a barker droid that doesn't run out of batteries..i can't see where it is listed whether that uses batteries or not.
trying to find out which type is the best for the length of battery. also, if i get one with more modules, does that mean it will use up batteries faster compared to one with just one module?

The battery charge is chassis independent. It doesn't matter if you have a Probot or an R3, the power consumption is the same. There are a few modules that don't use power however so you might want to look at the 101 FAQ for a list of them.
As far as the number of modules is concerned, it doesn't have any affect either. About every hour or so, you'll need to charge your droid.

It most definitely uses batteries, and the only way to keep it constantly recharged is doing a setup with power droids. It requires two people to set up two power droids (at least one of them barking) and have them recharge each other occasionally via a macro.

Actually, since the "recharge" command is just a droid command like any other, if you have two people sitting somewhere with power droids, they can keep eachother powered (with a simple looped /tellpet recharge or whatever your command is) as well as any other droids (assuming the droid name is in their macro so they can target it)

You can't recharge with a battery with a macro, but you can with the "recharge" droid command, as Jenden said.
