Thread: Is the infinite Seeker stack bug still around?

Hey guys,

I know old timer MBH and he has a seeker stack that is bugged which never drops below 9 charges. I remember DEs saying that they were bugged a long time ago. My question is are the new ones being made still bugged?

Not sure I've heard of them being bugged at 9 in the stack, but they are bugged in that the last charge never gets consumed while using the option they have at investigation 3 (I believe, not positive on that number) or higher.

I bugged it, but with Inv 3 on one of my alt toons, I had a seeker that the last charge wasn't consumed about 2 days ago. I didn't even realize it until I had used a couple of them and then it dawned on me that I hadn't needed to pull another out of a crate. So yeah, it is still around. I deleted it when I saw it, but the jedi walked up to me and made my tracking a little easier, so haven't needed to use on in a couple days. Maybe the preexisting ones are still bugged but the current ones are not. If you want I can take a mission this evening and grab an old crate out of the bank to try it.

My MBH toon only has crates from a night ago though, so I can't check with that investigation level as it is on a different server and can't take em off my Inv 3 toon.

*Edit* On neither toon have I ever been bugged at 9 in a stack though, only on the last charge.

Yup, it was the first seeker he ever opened, back in Feb or March of last year. Has had 9 charges since then. He used them from Inv I and still uses them to hunt Jedi.

I have had some stacks that were totally expended, and this was the second stack I have had it get stuck on the last use. Odd that it sticks only on the last charge or the first charge of the stack.

*sighs* This really sucks. I hope they nerf those seekers. Yeah I know BHs would hate it, but they wouldn't have two legs to stand on this issue. We all know this is a bug. I just wish it was a bug for the Arakyds, not the Seekers. Cuz logic dictates that you would get more sales from Seekers than you would from Arakyds. You use only one Arakyd per mission (unless your target moves from planet to planet). But you need to use several Seekers on a planet (unless you catch a target that is AFK). Really hurts DE that sell BH Droids.

If you're hunting Jedi, these people can switch planets basically on a whim. The hunters will still go through a lot of Arakyd Probe droids.

From experience (the old timer MBH I spoke of =)) I'd say the ratio of seeker to arakyd is 4:1 if not higher.

I'm a BH at Invest 3 and I remember recently having a seeker that never dropped below 10 uses! It just always stayed at 10. With all the bannings and warnings going on, i killed that thing quicker than a cat covering &#@* on amarble floor...

If they ever fix this bug, i can lower prices on my seekers to match my Araykd's. After a BH has been aroud a while, they figure out whats up.

The bug is that if you use the "find and track" option with a seeker, it doesn't use a charge. Since this is the best way to use your seekers, BHs don't have much need to buy seekers after Inv 3.
