I think that we should be able to custom make personality chips at the Master DE level. This seems like it would be exceptionaly easy for the Devs to add, and would make a droid just a little cooler. Any thoughs?

The "geeky" personality chip that becomes available at the Master DE level is supposed to allow customization. That's according to what it says in the schematic's description: "This personality module works to alter any verbal responses that the droid might give."
It doesn't allow you to customize anything. It just says geeky-ish things.

We all know how the devs always bicker about database issues. If we could put custom things into each and every droid, that would mean more stuff to store into the databases. I bet you a million dollars they wont implement anything like that. Itsa shame because being able to customizeor modthings is the key to long term success in most of the popular games (online and off)

You're probably right about the database issue. If they can't handle a database large enough to support the needs of their paying subscribers, though, they shouldn't be in this business.

I don't see that this would need to be something stored in the database, it could be like a macro. A small text file saved on the local machine, that's transfered to the machine of whoever owns the droid. And SWG can interact with text files stored locally, you can /load macro.txt and use it as a macro. And it's not like htis could be an exploit of some type if it was implemented.
