I need a sanity check

What do you think it's a fair price for a master crafted advanced surgical droid with 110 medical skill?

Advanced with just a Medical 6 Module? I would sell that for 20K. Now an advanced with personality Chip, Food/Chemical Station, Armor, and a third Module I sell for 28K.

That sounds about right - I charge 25K for adv surgicals, their choice of mods.

We really need some "average" price list on this forum.

I'm stumped everytime someone ask what I charge for my droids. I don't want to undercut everyone by selling too cheep, then again I don't want to be accused of ripping people off.

I took a peek over at the architect forums just to help my brother out with ballpark pricing, since he is an architect. It seems prettycommon that they don't want to have a published "average" pricing list, and they'd much prefer all sales to be personal / negotiated.

Not arguing with you or anything, it's just interesting that they have that idea. Maybe people here have similar thoughts and that's why it's so hard to come up with some kind of pricing scheme?

Let's face it, production costs vary widely from DE to DE, as does desire/need for profit.

I harvest most of my own materials, only occasionally purchasing some item (such as recently, Ditanium steel) that I just don't have in stock. My raw production costs per droid, even corrected for critical failures, means I have a level of pricing flexibility that someone who purchases all resources does not.

If I were in a large PA with an immense support structure, I might then have even more flexibility on pricing.

Oh, hehe. I didn't post my price.

I am TRYING to sell my first advanced surgical, with 110% medical and food/chem crafting on my droid vendor right now, put it up at 20K, which I think is a fair price, and I'm waiting to see the results.

Honestly, though, I'd really like to get some word from the devs as to whether using a General Droid Socket Cluster in a single-unit slot is an exploit... Because some of the wording in-game is rather ambiguous, and could indicate that it's OK to do this. If I take advantage of this capability, there's no need to make the advanced surgical at all, unless someone wants it to be nicely armored...

If it's not an exploit then there's no reason to put it in anything better than a MSE droid.

Sure there's a reason! I will not sell an MSE for what they're worth, because I hate them so much at this point... So you might as well go ahead and buy the more advanced chassis for a very small premium.

I sell most of my droids for 20K, include a Surgical Droid with 110% rating, including a Food Crafting Station.
