I was trying to name a probot I bought the other day to Naom'zade-sells-rebel-faction, you know, as sort of an advertisement at the star port that wouldn't be spamming other players, but it seems the droid doesn't accept the naming convention, or any other name. I tried the teach it 4 commands using it's name thing, but it doesn't work. I was wondering if maybe these words were filtered out of the naming convention or not. Any help would be appreciated, would really love to advertise without spamming C-net.

Hmm.. that's a tricky one. Try cutting the name down a bit. There is a character limit, I believe, but I'm not sure how many characters you can put in the name. Also, profession names are blocked, maybe "rebel" is blocked. Try "reb" or some other shortening of that.

Also, make sure your droid has sufficient power, ie. give it a battery.

And you have to make sure to type the name the exact same way everytime, little things like capitalization will throw it off.

Other than those, I'm not quite sure what it may be.

Give it a short name first, to see if you have a prob or just the long name you wanted to give it. If it works you can always rename it again.
