oh wow.... is there a school these guys go to for misinformation and porpaganda?

BTW the Twi'lek is wearing RIS armor, which actually in the game causes a Twi'lek's lekku to completely disappear. And, you can't get RIS armor in those Colors.

If it weren't for the fact that's probably the interior of the Corellian Corvette, I'd call that picture almost total false advertising... It's probably as much of a Droid Invasion as the Imperial Crackdown "was".

It is the Corvette, and those are indeed the droids you will see there.

But it has NOTHING to do with Droid Engineering, except for that sad little R5 sitting there - and one wonders exactly how many seconds after that picture was taken he disintegrated because he had no armor. An R5 wouldn't survive one shot from those bots - not even one. I've seen 'em.

Well, AFAIK the Corvette isn't going in until two-weeks later like the Genosian Cave in the last publish.

If it occured to you to check the patch notes "In Test" page with the patch notes you would see we are indeed the "stars" of this invasion:

*** Major Publish 7 Features ***

Droid & Droid Engineer Enhancements

  • Droid Damage Repair Kits and Droid Wound Repair Kit
  • Droid Battery consumption rate halved (enabling them to last twice as long)
  • Droids will no longer be susceptible to poisons, bleeds, /warcry or /intimidate
  • Combat Droids will have all the fighting functionality of a regular combat-capable creature (CL10)
  • These options will function like creature pets.
  • All players will have the ability to own and operate these combat droids.
  • A combat droid is a droid that is capable of attacking things, in addition to other potential droid capabilities that can be added to droids currently.
  • The normal crafting process is used, and a combat module is included in the droid.
  • Combat module will only mount in droids capable of combat. They can be placed in one of the general droid module slots that already exist on the droid chassis', seen during the crafting of the droid.
  • Combat module is crafted in exactly the same fashion as other droid modules, using a draft schematic, resource ingredients, and previously crafted component ingredients.
  • Combat modules can be crafted at varying quality levels, which can be seen when the module is examined.
  • Combat modules stack and if more than one of them is placed in a single droid, they have a cumulative effect.
  • To have the strongest combat droid, six 100% combat modules must be used in constructing a droid.

  • Audio, who thinks that reads more like a crafting tutorial than a patch notes, but that's just me...

There is a solid argument in the "Droid Invasion"

After all, no one really said "Droid Invasion" meant players or DE's got to do anything except see new droids to kill/be killed by...

Just means that Droids are Invading. I love this profession.

LOL your right! more than HALF of those notes in the Patch 7 list is nothing more than "filler" to cover the fact that there is little to no change in the DE prof. Just as one other post said "blowing smoke to keep us docile for another month".

Just like the imperial crackdown wasn't about the empire cracking down on us, but Rebels in Kaadara and Korvella and Espa Cracking down on them.

Anyone who does not follow the forums will see the link for the desktop pict follow it and thing, "Oh cool! We will be getting some nice cool combat droids!" Then they will want them. But the poor DE's will not be able to make them. Instead they will have to offer a probot or and R3. Granted they are better then they were but they are not as cool as that pict. Very misinforming.

The crack down was great when it first launched unfortunately some rebels whined about it because they got owned hard in cities where there was a crackdown and since then it has completely mellowed out.

I predict the following features of Publish 7 will have a greater impact to gameplay than any invading droid:

    • Vertical item movement in houses

    • Added additional lights for houses

People will finally be able to decorate their homes they way they want to without having to use the stair trick. Plus, real light sources will allow for a true "home" feeling that those torches simply spoil.

the droid invasion is just that.... more droids in the game... all npc and we get to kill them.... see we just didnt understand what they really meant
