Thread: Publish 7 Droid Prices
I realize that posts about pricing can be annoying, especially on the virtual eve of a new publish, but I wanted to
start a thread anyway for fello DE's like myself who are having a difficult time trying to estimate prices. Droids
are probably some of the hardest (if not THE hardest) items in the game to price, and there are so many different
methods to pricing droids. So I'll approach it this way:
-How much will you charge per high-quality crafted combat modules?
-How much will you charge for a combat only LE Repair Droid, Probot, R3, or R2? (assuming high quality combat mods, good HAM/Damage, lvl 6 armor, if that even matters anymore)
-How much will you charge for droid stims/wound packs A-C?
Also, if there has already been a thread of this kind please point me in the direction of it.

Well I tend to start everything at 10 CPU and round up from there to account for time & effort.
We're probably looking at 1k for a basic Stim A (roughly 80 resources) and more like 1500 for an Advanced Stim A (roughly 120 resources, several of which are rare). Scale appropriately higher for Stim B, C, D.
I don't plan to make reconstruction kits... that's what repair droids are for.
Combat modules will probably be something in the neighborhood of 1k each. Yeah, that's more than 10 CPU, but the number of brains required means that factory runs are going to be a total PITA. PITA = more expensive.
I'm currently able to get 24k easily for an Advanced Probot with L6 Armor, L6 Item Storage, and an L6 Medical module. A full-on combat Probot after the patch will have 5 combat modules in it instead of the Item Storage and Medical, so I'll probably cost it about the same to start out. We'll see whether or not they sell after having their armor nerfed into oblivion, though.

I won't price by module; and unless I get a specific request I will only be stocking fully equipped Probots. To compensate for the extra work (20 factory parts as opposed to 9) my prices will likelybe 50-75%higher from what they were before on Probots pre-patch.

The buyer will tell me how much they can afford and Ill negotiate from there. If its too little for my time and resources, then the deal is off. I also tend to price according to the buyers disposition. Roleplayers and polite people get muchlower prices than others.
Judging by the resources on the schematics that Jendan has provided us from TC (thanks Jendan) and the CL-10-ish ability of the combatdroids, I will most likely chargebetween 30k and 50k+. But that may change.

I plan on charging around 35k for a full combat probot. I haven't figured a prize fora DZ70 yet. I might charge less cpu for them since the probots have so many friggin components.

Note: I'm pretty sure that most any MDE has had this exact situation happen to them.
