Thread: An outline of the Dark Plan protect yourselves Know your enemy
Hmmm ..... I am seeing a trend here .... You say Droid Engineeringneeds some attention huh?That it should be central to the gamehuh? Hmmm ... Do you thinkthat maybe ...just maybe they messed up droid engineeringon purpose? It isaplot ... Itell you...a plot. Worthy of Darth Vader himself.
Phase I
You see the first phase of the plan is to sell as many SGW games as they can to unsuspecting people. People that have expectations that the game will actually be likeStar Wars. Peoplewhoexpect that thegame will actually work.Of course like most games there will be the natural bugs and fixes that all games have.The game needs to be solid enough and fun enough for people to see its true potential. This invisioned potential will keep people playing but there will be enough problems tokeep a low lying frustration ... a kind of agravating grate on the soul. At asubconsious level the player will know that there is something just not right about the feel of all this. *NOTE : If you have noticed this feeling it is the shadow of the Dark Side. Yes the Shadow of the darkside is strongest in the Droid Engineering Profession but is very strong all over the Galaxy
Phase II
Four months after go live phase II began. We saw it happen this weekend. It is the start of the campaign to turn this low level of frustration into a higher level of consious anger and resentment. They did this by introducing an enhancement to Droid Engineers. The droid customization tool. Yes! It is the first enhancement we have gotten in .... well ... it is the first one we have gotten. And true to the plan it did not work .. andDroid Engineers can no longercraft any astromech droids (R5s,R4s,R2s,R3s) and Mse droids.DE'sare gettingthe error "Internal Server Error: Owner for player not found". (This is just an encoded message.. It really means that our souls have shifted and now aremore vunerable to the Dark Side ) ( Yes ... open to a new owner!!!) . What do you believe the natural reaction to thiswould be?Isn't this just amazing. Four months after go live they still have everyone oblivious to their plan to cause frustration, anger, resentment, confusion, rage. All of the emotions that will allow people to be more open to the influences of the Darkside (Cackle) But dont be fooled, this is onlya step in their ultimate plan.
Phase III
The third phase of the plan will be implented with the mounts and player cities.These long awaited additions will be as buggy as anything else in this game.SOE will continue to foster a culture of distrust and anger in the player community.SOE will orchestratethe different profession into fighting each other over which profession is most messed up. The fruitless and utterly worthless debate over which do we want mostcontent or bug fixes will be nurtured and helped along by small uses of words like dichotomy. OMG like it makes no sense for them to resolve both at the same time,,, right!. Like they are so under manned and have so little resources that they cannot afford to do both. (If they truly have 200k registered users that means they are generating 3 million a month in just monthly subscriptions. Thats 36 million a year in gross revenue.Even with the "High" cost of severs and Disk. Yes Disk is very expensive! They should be able to afford the staff to do both bug fixes and new content.) See how the frustration seeps into everything? Phase III will generaly cause most everyone to start acting badly .... even to their friends. You will see people working together and supporting each other less and less.
Phase IV
The faint and fickle.Because phase III will cause so much rage and anger in the player community SOE will be forced to at least look like the are attempting to address some issues. They will have to acknowledge that they have problems. But don't be fooled this will only be a faint. They will re-structure theirmiddle management. (Ahh but we truly know the problem is really at the top) With Darth Vader amd the Emporer himself. They will bring out major fixes and adjustments to try to at least bring the over all rage and angerback to a simmer from the boil it will be at. Some things will get fixed. Some things will only look like they are fixed. Phase IV is just the set up for the Phase V. The last phase. The culmination of their ultimate Dark Goal!
Phase V
The ultimate goal for this game is to convert as many players to the Dark Side as SOE possibly can. The final straw will be the release of the Space expansion. By the time this is done all the palyers will be so sick and tired of waiting for the great wonderful potential of this game that they would be moved to embrace the Dark side just to see it Achieved. Ultimatley this is whatwe will have to do. You see the person really controlling all of this is the guy at the top. The emporer knows that the ultimate indignity is to allow people to have the false belief that they have the power to effect their lives. Thats why we see so much from SOE asking us what we want. It is just a ruse. They have no intention of using what we puny, idealists would invision. They plan to ultimatleycrush this belief and inslave us to the Dark Side with the space expansion. We will be so frazzled, angry, frustrated and just generaly totaly open to the Dark Side, that when they ask us to cough up more money for the expansion,(and probably pay more in subscription fees) that we will give in and do it just to see if they were able to pull it off.Whenthe expansion does not live up to our expectation we will be lost ... lost to the Dark oblivion of anger rage and ultimate enslavement and defeat by ...

Thank you for your undying devotion to the rebellion, brother! These words needed to be brought into the public light, even if for only moments, before the thread is locked by imperial goons and the thought-police come for us.
If you have been truly captured, send me a waypointand my probot and I will promptly rush to your aid and be incapped by a single n00b CH within 1km of the base they're holding you in.
I'll bring some of my grandfather's old pazaak cards though.. something to while away the hours before we're executed.
