Thread: Probots broken?

I'm sorry I did not search through all the post but here is my question/situation.

I bought a Probot with level 4 armor and a medical attactment ( too early to remember the real name) just the other day after the patch. I had a Probot in the first month of gaming and I had no problems. This one though. I bought it and went outside, tamed it, programmed it, grouped with it and killed 1 creature. I log for the night. The next day I call it and I see some line of text saying the customization was wiped out. I had never seen this before so I thought nothing of it. I had a cowardly gurreck out at the same time and they both have the same kill command. I notice the Probot isn't holding up its end of the bargin and is just floating there. So I figure that the customization line was telling me all the commands that I had programmed in the night before were gone. So I reprogram it, no big deal to me.

So I heal up and get ready for the next fight. I send my attack command and off runs my Cowardly Gurreck and my Probot just says low power. I almost cried. I had used my old one, which perma died, at least a hundred times and it never forgot its commands or had it say low power.

So is this a bug or did the Devs nerf Probots to be 1 battery per kill and make it that you have to program it every time you use it?

I like Probots and want to use it but is this an issue or just me?

No bug, just fast batteri usage and the customisation message ment that if it was painted by a DE it would have lost it's color. Nothing else.

As fas as I know as a DE, is that since last patch probot like any other droids i think requires a battery like every 10 mins or so and this is ridiculous. The other thing is putting them in the datapad doesnt recharge anymore!

I had the problem with the deprogrammation with a pet too, right after the big patch so ...

The customization is not an important issue, coze it means that the color the DE gave to your probot disappeared and thats all, there is no incindence on how its working.

And i dont know if they are going to correct theses "Bugs", but I hope so coze this is so ridiculous!

Well it is kind of a bug.... Your droid wont fight or allow you to heal wounds IF it is low in power. This is normal..... what is not normal is the **edit** power consumption rate. Is there any way you DEs can make me a very long extension cord for my droids? Otherwise I am going to look more like a truck than a Bounty Hunter..... Carrying crates of batteries, crates of tracking droids, crates of seeker droids and crates of weapon powerups..... Oh look at me, I am not a BH, I am a properly working Binary Loader

Ajag,

I'm sorry but no, we cannot change the power-consumption of droids, what we can do is probably to sell crates of batteries or to include some when you buy a droid.

Cool the only thing I wasn't sure about is the battery thing. I can wait for that to be addressed.

Maybe they will let DE's make a new wearable container called "Portable Power Generator Pack" now that would be cool

hmmm Ogge, I think you are misunderstanding something..... I am all in favor of droids consuming power and needing batteries, but the current post-patch rate is simply ridiculus. I refuse to accept that a droid needs to get a new battery every 10-15 minutes. They need to make that longer. come on, we are not talking about the crappy batteries we make today dude, these are special batteries to power droid in a galaxy far far away. I mean, Terminator's battery's last for 100 years if I remember correctly

I know, I just meant we couldn't do anything about it... we feel the same way, it's not very fun running around having to recharge all the time.

I believe it is a bug and they should be changing it back soon. Now if they would also change the Probot back to pre-nerf......

If they would revert the nerf of Probots, you're not the only one being happy.

But, first they need to fix the bugs and make sure our droids is usefull.

After that they just need to make sure we DE's can have 3 out at a time.

I agree with that too. I would love to be able to have 2 Adv. Probot with me in battle, but I think that should be a DE only thing. I would be happy if I could get a nice combat droid to use. To be honest I never saw a pre-patch Probot, but I heard that it was awesome. does anyone remember the pre-patch stats just to enlighten me?

If I remember correctly, pre-patch probots weren't all that awesome. 3200 HAM, yes, but they also had no armor. They also did about75 more DPS (150 damage per 1.5 secs), which while nothing to sneeze at, isn't all that spectacular. What they did have was instant healing- by putting a pet in your datapad it would automatically heal.

The reason why probots were so powerful back then, in addition to the insta-heal bug, was because everyone was fighting monsters that are far weaker than the ones the top-level players hunt now. Brining back the pre-nerf probot wouldn't do much, then. It would basically be like a cowardly gurreck that has a ranged, rather than a melee, attack.
