When I call my droid out, I get this message...."Your droid's customization is fading away". Does anyone know what this means? Btw, Im not a DE so I don't really know how droids work. Thanks

It means that IF a DE has colored your droid that color is fading away. Your droid will revert to basic color and you need to visit a DE if you want to have a different color again.

any way to stop it fading? Mine came up about completely fading away despite me putting 20+ batteries into it, thinking that would help. It's an R2 unit.

Batteries have nothing to do with the customization. The customization refers to the "paint job". No, there is nothing you can do to stop it fading. You just have to eventually get a DE to paint it again.

err.. how long exactly does it last? If I have to get it repainted every week, well that's just ridiculous.

There's a line in the droid info, when you look at it in the d-pad, that says something about customization and has a number by it. That number is the amount of "calls" that it will be before your droid loses its color. So I believe a freshly painted droid starts off with 20. Now being that people call and store droids mulitple times a day, I personally feel this is too low and should be increased.

Now, saying that,I seem to have noticed yesterday that not all the droids were showing this customization line in my d-pad, but I havent had a chance to check them againsince this latest patch.

None of my droids have the customization lifespan in the datapad.... or any commands for that matter.

I've got a treadwell that I made long before we were ever able to customize the droids. It started at the 20 for customization, and faded each time. By the time the tool existed, he was at -56 and still fading every time I pulled him out. It's just freaking annoying. I think it should stop at 0 to prevent the annyoing message from happening over and over again. I also think that it shouldn't come with customization straight from being built. This would be good for players that don't care about the color, they wouldn't have to see the message about customization fading when there isn't any, or when they don't care anymore after their chosen color faded.
