When was the last time a Dev posted in this forum?
When was the last time we had any indication from the Devs that there would be any real bug fixes or improvements to the DE profession?
When was the last time we had any indication from the Devs that SWG would be getting cool, new combat droids in one form or another?
This is not a flame post. I really just want to know. As far as I can tell, there has not been an official peep about DE or droids in a long time. I'm not seeing any changes coming down any time soon.
I know Drashky mentioned something about a Dev and DE, but I have seen no official post about anything DE-related.

During the last HOC it was mentioned that RThorton would be spending a few publishes tinkering with droid code. No specifics were given on what was to be done, or what issues were considered to be a priority.

The only 'new' combat droid content that we have been informed of was during the previous HOC, when it was mentioned that combat droids would be receiving a boost. No information has been mentioned about new chassis styles to my knowledge.
I honestly wonder if LucasArts will ever allow the SOE DEV team to bring droid use and their Iconic status to the forefront.

Actually, I think that Smuggler has the highest # of Dev postings....
But who's keeping track anyway?

i second those questions...also there are some good answers from Drashk...
only interesting that someone on the CH board at least posted two lines that the dev will address the problem as soon as possible...whatever that is...
but honestly some kind of an official posting would be nice...
not that i really mind sharing abench with Rasal to sit this out...but any kind of statement would be good for the moral level

I'm just not seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. It's really messed up that the R3 is the best combat droid. It's really messed up that we have so many bugs. We can't use droid stims to heal our pets. I NEVER see droids used in game any more except for BH droids and half of those are bugged so that they are unlimited use items.
It would be great to know if anything is planned down the line. It seems were are completely neglected. I would gladly give up some of my skillpoints to pick up droid commander if I could get CH-lvl droids. That would be hot.

I always see a light at the end of the tunnel... but then again half the time it seems to be an oncomming train. Still trying to get a good sized pass for non-combat professions going.

Its just so frustrating to see our profession getting so dumbed-down. And its even *more* frustrating to know that a Dev will NEVER come in here and talk about this. They woudl consider the topic "negative", and not deserving of public recognition. Rumor has it that P22 or 23 should see the FRS back in game. I hope that DE gets some of the improvements that *WE* want by then. I am so sick and friggin tired of jedi gettin so much attention.

I don't know what characters everyone has, but last I knew a number of the devs had crafters. One thing to keep in mind though, the devs don't make the scheduling decisions...

From what we have heard there is one Dev that "plays" a DE. I honestly think that may be the problem. They are obviously going off what one person thinks is good for droids or a small group, and certainly not listening to us. Tiggs needs to come in here and start a focus thread, then somebody needs to really read it.
