Stick with mouse droids. No way around it. until you get blueprints 1 or two I think. After that Advanced droid frames you need a ton of resources (150 steel, 70 fiberplast)for those but they give you the most bang for the buck. I think if you can stand the grind you deserve the jedi. What teaches you more patience than the DE. If you don't have patience then it should be real easy to fall to the dark side.

Well, you don't *have* to grind MSEs. I never tried it myself, but I have heard that a better grind is to grind Level 1 armor to get Weapon Crafting Modules. Then grind those to Blueprints II and get the advanced droid frames.

I think most DE's did the MSE grind, but as stated above you don't have to do that. The MSE is simple to make and doesn't require much to create either. You can't sell the things, so you may as well be on practice mode all the way.

Haha!
Yes, more than one mouse grind has lead people down the wrong path.

Why do you want to get through it as quick as possible? Where's the fun in that? Just play. It will come in it's own good time.

Please don't call us "fellow DE's" if you're just here to grind your way through it. Don't call yourself a DE if you don't want to actually be a DE. Once you're done with the grind, you'll drop DE like a diseased rat.
