Thread: Some Great Ideas to make DE acutally a worth it profession.....

Other then building BH droid DE are pointless to be.... here are some good ideas to freshen up the profession so people non-BH characters will acutally need droids..


1) Droids like Protcol droids should be able to talk to races in the game that dont speak basic or any of the lanuages the characters can like jawas. This could be expanded so if you would want to do a special quest u would need a protcol droid to talk to NPC and it could translate for u so u are able to do the quest.


2) not sure about this but Astromech droids should reapair ships while on a ship in space. If they dont already.


3) Have Acutal types Droids that can acutally fight really well (like a Battle Droid, or Droiekia) For the DE to build these they would have to go on a quest or something and gather the parts to build one could be an idea how it could work out. You might be even be able to build armies of droids(just an idea).


4) Have Droids be human like for the ones that are human like

It's not pointless if you have fun doing it....


I onlyfinished grindingMDE on my Shadowfire toon for about a week, soit's quite possibleI'll get burnt out/frustrated with the plethora of issues and bugs in the near future, but Ihave to say I enjoy playing this character alot more than myother characters at present.


There's just something about droids....

Your opening statement only shows that you aren't aware of the potential use for droids currently in the game, even if they are bugged. The current incarnation of combat droids are very useful and can be a very powerful tool in the right hands. Medical droids are of huge benefit to low level medic. Crafting droids are the bread and butter of every single crafting professional that hates being stuck in their shop. Storage Droids are completely decay resistant and can provide upto 50 items storage. Astromechs are invaluable to many pilots. Entertainment droids add a lot to a performance.


With your opening statement, you tried to completely debasedall of those truths, whether you realized it or not.


And just to let you know, each one ofthe listedsuggestions has been brought up time and time again.

Ok guys...not everyone has stellar tact in their writing. Leave the poor guy alone.

The ideas he presented are noteworthy. Granted they have all been brought up before, but the fact that others are thinking about them means people other than DEs want them. Good brainstorming. Keep it up!

If sucking is not living up to your potential, then to calculate themagnitude to which DEs suck would require mathematical equipment not yet invented.

He put forward some good ideas, popular ideas we all agree with, and he should keep it up.
