Thread: What combat profession goes best with a crafter?

TKM is very nice as well....inate armor ( dont have to buy it )....great defences...ect...

I was mostly thinking of defense for like the deathwatch bunker, maybe pistoleer?

Try CM. Then you can heal your party, still be of use, rez people if need be, and wear armor. You could be a true support person.

Just curious because my DE needs some protection and I was wondering which profession is best.

Yeah I agree...With ranged professions if you dont master like 2 or more then your damage output isnt going to be that great and you still wont be able to heal yourself or your group. So with CM you can heal really good, ranged heal your group and use all the damage dealing goodies CM has to offer to weaken the mobs for your grp.

From what i have read, you dont want to heal your group mates in the DWB. You will draw aggro and be killed easily...
I guess TK would be best, and a rez cyber arm

Doctor. Hands-down.
CM is limited in the DWB because bacta spray is instant death to the CM. Typically, you can heal fast enough to be ok as Master Doc.
This is speaking as a Master Artisan/Master DE/Master Doc who made 3 jetpacks the other night. 
If you need a COMBAT profession, I'd suggest TKM or Rifleman.

Yeah thats true. Damn, Wish I had my respec left! Im dying to get down there and make my helm and jetpack. We've done the overlord and the formans quest, have all the items needed for mando and jetpack but just dont have the right DE template to pull it off.

I actually got a few crafted when I was MA / MDE / MWS, combat level 1. I just had to be dragged around a lot.

Can my groupmates pull everything totally away from me in the crafting room? Or is there not enough room to do that? Because like you said I can get dragged/rezzed and get down to the room but Im worried about dropping the items in and then gettting killed..

Mine could. Your mileage may vary, though. Bring lots of Jedi, and a health crystal wouldn't go amiss either.
I know I feel a lot safer doing it as a doc now.

For DWB runs, having ANY elite combat profession will help the MA/MDE. I am a MCH and even though I don't use pets down there, I can still contrbute to the fight, can wear battle armor, weild an assault bowcaster and can take a few hits w/o flinching.
