Does anyone know if a droid will continue to "Patrol" if master leaves area to pursue other interests ? Like if I posted a droid to patrol in town then went back to tend machines. I suspect it will autostore in datapad after a period of time. If noone knows, I will probably test this tonight.

Thanks

I have never tried this, but usually with other datastores including droids, when you move away the droid will go back to your datapad. The only time it didn't was on my BH when my probot got blowed up and I died, when I ran back out to the site 4000m away, the probot was floating there waiting on me still.

I regularly leave my Billboard BLL walking around coronet while i take trips off-world to Naboo and Talus. Usually, not only does it stay there on the planet, but i can also call another droid on the second world as well (usually my R2 so that I can crafting).

Best way to tell is to leave your droid next to a shuttlepad, then fly out and back in again.

Not only will it continue to patrol when you leave the area, it can continue to patrol overnight while you're logged off. Only the server reset puts it away.

I use this technique for advertising, using a bright red Binary Load Lifter named 'Email-Rho-for-Droids'.

Taking a well-deserved vacation from his successful Droid Engineering business, Master Rho can be found puttering around the galaxy.

I got my frienda nice white "AT-ST Prototype" one, every time he pulls it out he gets tons of tells, half asking how he got it and the other half telling him he's a scammer and they're going to report him (he's never tried to scam anyone with it). Its ammusing to watch.
