Questions: Which modules DO NOT work on the following droids:

1. Protocol

2. LE Repair

3. Surgical

4. Power Droid

I know the repair does not work in the LE Repair and Power droids, but I always forget which others do not.

I believe that item storage is borked, at least on surgicals.

I still keep 1 Data Storage module on 1 of my droids... and never delete Schematics, just transfer them to that Droid. Works great.

Ok, so the final list is:

1. Droid Repair does not work on LE Repair, Surgicals or Power Droids

2. Item storage does not work on surgicals

Anything else? I just don't want to sell pre-borked droids to anyone.

Sodan,

One of the things I've done in the past after crafting custom orders with combinations I had never done, was to have the customer tame and test all functions right there in my shop (or outside for medical/crafting things). That way in the event of any trouble I could offer alternatives from a discount to a different model droid.

I lost some profits doing this, but not THAT much, and those folks tend to inform others that there is a DE who is actually conscientious out there. I get a fair amount of referral business.

Good strategy. I always encourage customers to call me with questions. I think I'll have them test stuff out before they go too. I've replaced borked droids before for sure.

Just wanted to avoid it if there was common knowledge out there.

[insert obligatory rant about LE Repair Droid not repairing]

I always warn the potential customers that there may be issues with the droid they're wanting, whether because of broken modules or broken chasis. Lost quite a few customers that way in the short term, but I believe they'll come back around after they get fed up with getting useless droids from the DEs that don't bother to give warnings.

Also get the optimistic few who believe that their droids will have all the bugs fixed, but given the trend in previous patches, I suspect I will have to rebuild those droids when things are finally fixed.
