I found out last night that Sodan is the name of an evil AI that controls a space installation in some other video game!

When I made my char, I chose and made up "Sodan"because I knew from my EQ days that you need any easy to /tell name -- Short, two-sylibals max, and no lielieleigh "ie" name that people can never spell.

What a freaky co-inkydink that its a droid AI related name! Even freakier, I plopped my house down next to Xerxes (sp?) house who is also a character from the other game. Wierd.

What's that? And what's the name of the game Sodan appears in?

No idea about 'Sodan'...

But 'Boourns' is a name a character in SWG had... And someone in customer 'service' saw fit to change his name because it was a pop culture reference...

Sadly, this 'reference' was simply to Mr. Burns of the Simpsons, who in ONE episode asked if his audience was saying 'Booooo'... to which Smither replied "No, they're saying 'Boourns'.". The crowd continued to boo, but one fellow (Hans Moleman) said "I was saying 'Boourns'."

That's IT. That's the ENTIRE EXTENT of the origin of that name, and the poor sod lost a LOT as a consequence of his name change.

You know, your house isn't tied to your account, it's tied to your character's NAME.

*grumble*

Hmmm well its a good thing I made up my name. Copyright law allows for independant creation.
