Thread: Question from a new droid user...

Sorry if this has been asked before, I only searched back 5 pages of posts here. I just got an R3 droid for medical use, and every time I call it, I get the message "Your droids customization had completely faded." I reprogram, use it for a while, store it, and the same thing happens next time I call it. In fact, it shows up with a diffrent color scheme each time it's called. Can one of you fine Droid Engineers please tell me what I'm doing wrong, or what I have to do? Or just a redirect to the proper thread would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Customization only refers to the color.

Astromechs are randomly colored until customized by a DE. Other droid styles will be a default color until customized. Once customized, they will hold their color through 20 call/store cycles, and then fade away to the default behavior.

Rho is correct... however, the last time I checked my Power droid, it's color kept falling off the moment I'd store it. I don't know if this has been fixed (and I know you're only asking about your R3), but it's something to be aware of.

How old is your power droid?

Astromechs and maybe Gonks made before October 8 don't hold color.

He's pretty old, but I'd hate to throw Quattro in the trashcan (especially since he looks like one already).
