Anyone have any tips for a MDE who is losing money? Being on Tempest and it being a new server droids sold pretty decent for a while, but now they are not. I am down to under a 100k. I know this isn't poor yet, but seeing how I have dropped form 500k to this in 3 weeks time concerns me. Anyone have any ideas on making some cash. Noone better come back with do some missions, cause there are 2 problems. One - Without a decent weapon all I can really do our 3k capped survey missions. 2 = No Master of any profession should have to do **edit** missions too survive. That is total BS. Anyway any help would be appreciated as the only thing I can think of is just pull up all my harvesters to lessen the money I am spending.
join a faction and do faction missions for money. save up for faction pets to help you.
I just got my first at-st muwhahahaha......and killed my first rebel today too with it. But since a commando can kill it with one hit, I'm only using it for pve now.

Joining a faction hurts a crafter doesn't it?
In my experience, no. Droids are droids, like weapons are weapons, and they know no faction. Perhaps some really die-hard role-playing faction players would not buy from the opposing faction, but I have not seen an example of this.
Now I keep an eye on SWGCRAFT, and if one of a select set of materials becomes available, I'll harvest again, but otherwise I'm finding it much easier to purchase from resource sellers. This helps me to regulate my costs a bit, as I can count of a certain price per unit, which I then plug into my pricing spreadsheet. My prices are probably middle-of-the-road, neither terribly low nor terribly high (example: 16,000 for a surgical with 110% medical and food/chem crafting) but they serve to make me a profit and keep me in business.
Of course, I have an advantage in that I have a great location in a busy area, just 800 meters south of Coronet, so I make a fair number of sales on a daily basis.
