Thread: Naming your BLL

Someone wrote to me earlier today asking how to get a long name onto a BLL for advertising. as such, I thought I'd put a little tutorial up. For the purposes of this demonstration I'll be using my own BLL's name:

"Msg-Woodrow-For-Droids"

Now, there's a trick with getting long names to stick. When you try and program it, the droid looks to see how long the entire string (the line of text you type) is when you try and train it. so if you do the normal:

follow: "Msg-Woodrow-For-Droids follow"

that'll be too long and the droid won't accept it as a command. instead, change 'follow' to just a single letter, like so:

follow: "Msg-Woodrow-For-Droids f"

then again with 3 different commands:

follow target: "Msg-Woodrow-For-Droids c"
stay: "Msg-Woodrow-For-Droids s"
guard: "Msg-Woodrow-For-Droids g"

That should about do it. I can't remember the exact number of characters (letters) that the droid will see but I know mine is somewhere close to the limit, so you probably won't squeeze in much more of a message than that. Obviously, you'll also be changing'Woodrow' for whatever you desire (unless you're on Ahazi, in which case feel free to use 'Woodrow' as Ialways love free advertising).

So, until next time, Keep crafting Droid Monkeys!
