I have a R2 droid with crafting/storage module and I would like to add a data module to him. Can I have a DE upgrade him to add a third module?

Just to shortcut to where this is probably headed anyway: I've never seen a noobish data module inquiry that didn't come from somebody who still thought pets could be stored in them. Maybe that's not true in your case, but in my experience it's worth going ahead and mentioning it: Pets can no longer be stored in data modules. Using data modules to own more pets than your skill-defined limits was an exploit. It's been gone for some time now.

The only thing data modules can store at present are manufacturing schematics, and since people usually only own manufacturing schematics for the amount of time it takes to walk from the crafting station to the factory, there's really not any point in that.

If neither of these points applies to you, then of course please disregard this post. I just can't help thinking that anybody who really wants a data module must be under the illusion that there's some reasonable use for them, and it saves everybody some time to let you know that sooner rather than later.
