Droid Engineer Archive

I am about to start selling droids and computers for pilots was wondering what combo's people use for the droids. The flight computers are easy to get, but with the droids what do most people do? Should i stack several Data modules in there, just one, what droids are popular. etc....

I've been doing pretty well using just R5s with a single Astromech Unit selling for 11k for Level 1s and 20k for Level 5s. Just made Master so will run off Level 6s and sell them for something around 30k and see how that pans out. But since JTL my merchant has climbed quickly to over 10mil credits, most of which was made from Droid Program Modules (2k each) and Astromech Droids and Computer Sales. I'm making so many droid specific sales now that Ive dropped tailor to concentrate on Merchant so she can have her own set of vendors.

Hi,

Believe it or not I have had great success selling just R5's with the data module (1-6) andone level 6 Storage module. Just had a look through figures and I have sold about 500 since JTL launch.

I put a notice up in my shop offering custom Astromechs i.e. more modules and different chassis etc. I think I have made maybe 2/3 of these.

As for prices, I found I could shift the Level 1 Droids for 6 - 10k depending if the werea vendor sale or a Bazaar Sale (Made the mistake of factory running 500 level 1's... oops. So was selling surplus on Bazaar.

Edit: Spelling - Damn I wish I had paid attention in class.

I sell 1-5 R5 versions with just the proper data module. Then I sell a deluxe version with levle 6 storage as well. The storage module sells for far more.

For level 6, I have a few versions that I sell for 75k, they sell fairly well. These all have the data module, storage modules, and either a mix of med modules, or crafting stations. Hard to go wrong with those.
