Thread: Anyone else see the really large amount of changes coming to combat classes?
And anyone else have a lil problem with them not even looking at the issues happening with us?
Sure combat works and quite well at the moment (seems to be the biggest thing that DOES really..) but lets dedicate even more time and resources to working them up even more while the broken stuff sits around...
Bitter? Maybe a lil. But just kinda trying to make a point.
Ah well the time will come eventually, one can always hope. Til then just keep pluggin away and deal with the same issues that have been around since the beginning.
Yep, read it when I first saw it on the Dev Tracker... it's good to know that the martial classes are getting some fixes, especially melee types.
Hey, I'm with those classes that are suffering because of this game's crappy design: Pikemen, BE's, Chefs, etc, so if I see any fixes at all, I'm happy.
I still have faith the DE fixes are coming soon... gotta keep faith. ![]()
I have faith. Though I had no desire to be droid engineer, droid ownership was one of the biggest pulls of this game for me, and still is. I buy module-less droids. I buy mouse droids. When they were permadeath I'd let em die and buy more just to keep money flowing to the DEs. Why? I BELIEVE. I just know that droids are going to be one of the biggest and most important parts of this game sooner or later. Fact is, skywalker ranch wouldn't let it happen any other way.
The fixes are coming, we just gotta keep reminding the devs to keep it on the top of thier priority list.
Incidentally, my favorite DE on Eclipse has retired due to the problems, so feel free to email me in game with shop locations for any of you DEs on Eclipse. I don't need you to be a master, like I said I'll buy anything, and my wife has no droids yet as she just got her account. Plus I want to decorate our pa hall and houses with droid chassis.
Keep the faith, and don't retire!!! Your day is coming, and **edit** soon if I have anything to say about it!*
*note, I do not have anything to say about it.

if you were on bria i'd give you free droids ![]()
Belief nothing. Faith is great, but not blind faith.
I've been in enough beta tests and project developments to realise that silent treatment is not good. The only thing I really trust less is when they constantly tell you they are working on it but nothing comes out. In the latter case it means they can't get it right. But we haven't heard that yet, which is almost as worrying.
I don't think they are working on it. I amimagining a large calander on the SOE wall with various dates on when projects are to be taken up and when they should be finished. I also imagine that hte DE profession has been bumped several times. Why? This profession has been nothing but a black hole of trouble because of lack of planning combined with a lack of vision. I doubt they have any real idea what to do with the droid profession that wouldn't require a very large programming project spanning several weeks and many manhours. And to fix what? A profession that has only a handful of members in it (maybe two dozen between all the servers if we're lucky)? No, far better to keep tweaking the professions with thousands in it as that's where the true money is.
Course, the irony is the longer this profession is being ignored, the worse the problem gets. Why is anyone going to pick up a profession that A) is entirely broken and B) has almost no members in it. So the lack of new members, combined with the dwindling number of the hopefuls who are finding their faith tested, slowly sucks the lifeforce away from the DE. and once it's gone, there'll be no one to argue that it needs to be fixed; meaning it can be pushed off again as it upsets no one.
Course I could be entirely wrong bout this (and am indeed hoping that I am). And if I'm not, will it stop me from becoming a droid engineer anyway? NO! if the numbers are few then when and if they do fix it, that'll make us a very rare set of people. So I'm betting against my own odds that by the time I'm a Master DE, they'll hopefully have actually hammered together a halfway decent profession.
There's my blog. Sorry to be such a downer about it.
hehe i said the same thing then i hit master. i still have the general belief you do though. one day......
