Does anybody what the exact restrictions on naming droids exist. For example, how long can a name be, what symbols are allowed....etc....

Right now, droids use the same naming convention as players. No special chars other than ' or - and no numbers in name.

Its exactly the same as character name creation......or at least it was yesterday.....lol

It's really sucks that we can't use numbers, which are contained in nearly every droid's name in the SW universe, in the names of our droids. I thought I remembered the devs saying that was changing.

it's just funny to Be Playing SWG and the world famous droids both have numbers in them (c3po & r2-d2) and we can't use numbers..

which i guess is good.. cause i tried naming my mouse droid RM-MALL-4252-4667... at the time i didn't know numbers couldn't be used.. so i tried and tried and tried.. now i know the cordinets off the top of my head.. *doh*
