haha, I'm dabbling at the moment, surrendoring skills as I go up the DE tree. I'm not much of a fighter type, and I'm having a blast keeping a customer base and vendors and harvestors and whatnot. I will go at least to novice Rifleman, I hope we'll be able to heal the white HAM of droids soon and I'll trully be a support class in the field.

I might take up a bit of music as well... I RP a bit and I'm still searching for things that fit with my guy and how I'm starting to develop his background. I do have novice architect, but the very first factory I tried to make I crit failed on the final combine... so I said screw that. I will always keep master DE no doubt once I have it, and just surrendor everything else if need.

I started Master Architect (well I didnt start, but Im there now) and then I took up DE. I think it will make a good compliment. Master Architect is pretty screwed up too with one whole skill tree useless (granted not like DE).

I wouldn't recommend DE to Architect. Sure they make lots of money, but they use TONS of resources, and DE's don't have the infrastructure set up to be good Architects. To ad DE, 10k lot of a resource. To an Architect 100k is a lot of a resource. Our biggest schematic takes 2.5k, and people complain. The basic architect component (wall segment), takes 2.5k and a factory or medium harvester takes at least 3 of those. Large structures take exponentially more resources. Architect to DE is a breeze, because they already have the volume of resources.

ArmorSmith is a decent choice, because you can make your own Composite Segments later on, but Armorsmith likes to have Tailor skills too, and you may not have skillpoints for both.

Weaponsmith is entirely unrelated. No benefits, no disadvantages.

Do archs really make that much money? I heard it wasn't that great for pay because of the amounts of resources needed. Anyways my second profession is Pistoleer (0,1,3,1) but Im out of skill points with some in medic and some in scout. I want to get ride of master artisan but I rely on it to heavily and I don't want to put my trust in finding someone to make me these items. If mounts come in soon terrain navigation wont be such an issue.

Well my brother who plays on the same server is a Master Architect ... he's got over a million creds on him at any one time. To us poooooor DE's that makes him supa rich to me

His only problem is that he cant supply his customers quick enough (he has 25 heavy harvestors working all the time, just no time to build). Soo I might just go Master Arch to help him out ...that is until we get our Elite Elite profession ...star ship design for me all the way baby !!

Another problem with Arch is their factory takes 2 lots. Thats lots needed to bring in the hords of resources. A better mix might be weaponsmith because they use the same factory. I went with arch thinking it might be be a subset of ship building latter, else I would have gone weapon. ANd I don't have master arch because I need marksman points for carbine skills and scoutfor terrain navigation and mask scent so I can get to/from my harvstors. They really need to give us some more points, some that are for combat/scouting only, because everyone needs combat regardless of what primary they choose. Giving us some basic points for scouting/combat, people could still choose to go with one of the marksman, or melee or unarmed branches. They just could go more then 4 bars without use some general points which would be for ether combat or artisan.

yeah you would REALLY have to hate yourself to go BE as well.

i picked up weaponsmith since we both use the same crafting tools and stations and generally need the same materials and stats.

Well i am

Master DE

Carbineer 0301

CH 1100 (hate to be one but probots arent good enough as tanks and you cant hela them, i 'll give it up asap)

Medic 0000

Marksman 0043

scout 4040

So for me there is more than just crafting and if i didnt spend so much money on weapons, armor, food , drinks and on entertainers i would have gota million for sure. But as soon as i get money i spent it. That keeps the economy going and other crafters happy.

I stepped up the architect tree to get power cores and harvesters. I've had to give up most of merchant to keep my starting classes, but I may drop some entertainment in order to get it back.
