Thread: Inventory/pack windows opening in dual mode

Pretty minor complaint, but haven't seen anyone else bring it up. Maybe I'm missing something?
Every time I open my inventory or a resource pack ( a frequent occurance for a crafter!) the window opens with two panes - one on the right that shows the actual contents, and one on the left that shows an "examine" of whatever object that is highlighted in the right-hand pane.
While I can see the utility of this once in a while, it's driving me NUTZ!!!!! I've gone through all the controls and can't seem to find the "switch" that will turn this option off. Is there such a switch, or has anyone else turned in a bug report on this?

You can close the left window, but its not remembering that you had that closed... that is a bug.

Yes!! this has been happening to me ALL the time now, it is incredibly annoying!! But since it does not affect combat I really don't expect the devs to fix it.
