Thread: Artisan Deaths in the Field and How DE Could Save the Day

I'm sure we are all aware of the problem with artisans going into the wilds in the post-cu environment. I would like to propose some DE modules that could help.
1. Resource Survey Module - Give it a planet and name of a resource and it would return the complete stats for that resource(to be used after the current survey droid returned)
2. Factory/Harvester Maintenance - Would require item storage to hold power and would deposit it in the structure at a particular waypoint. Maybe this would take 10-45 mins to complete.
3. Resources Retriever - BLL only module that would fetch the resources from a harvester and optional the deed as well.
4. Structure Survey Module - Returns the status of a structure (maintenance, power and operational status).
5. Resource Locator Module - Would find the top 3 resource density locations. However there would be a chance the droid would be destroyed by the planet's inhabitants.

Sounds like a cool idea my main crafters (Architect and Droid Engineer) can't fight to save their lives. Onesa Level 1 and the other a Level 7. They spend most of their time in their houses or with their defender droid at their side ::laughs::
I always thought you should be emailed when your harvesters stopped working but your ideas are great.
*gets on knees and begs* .. please please please cannot us non combatants have a chance to step outside their homes without getting incapped ?

I agree with it all except #5. I think artisan's should still be requried to survey for the concentrations of resources. If they were to impliment that, instead of working to find the best concentration you can, it would turn into a "Who can get their droid to find the best concentration and put harvesters down first".
