An LE Repair Droid requires a repair mod.

Can someone install a repair mod in a MSE mouse and have it work the same as an LE? Or is there a difference, like maybe the LE is faster?

I'm wondering how much demand for R5s and better will be if people can just buy mice with cheap mods installed.

Well I don't have LE yet, but R5 Advanced is my best seller, because of the dual slots. Yes, DZ70 Advanced has them too, but I prefer to make R5 and the customers mostly like them.

That'll be the draw, once multiple craft modules will work together. R2 advanced looks like it will take 6 or 7 modules. All the craft modules, a medical, data and storage module, maybe? Sounds attractive to me

Finally... someone else has seen the true light about the real shortcoming of the Droid Engineering Profession. Yes, if you are looking at pure functionality for the best price... there is no reason to get anything except an Advanced MSE Mouse with 2 modules installed. And yes, you can install a Droid Repair module and a Med Level 6 in a mouse and they both work just fine =)

The nice thing about the LE droid is that it's fairly easy to contruct, uses two modules, and looks awefully cool ..it's a conversationalist, so you can't rename it...which is the biggest bummer....

Until such time as the droids are given more uniqueness in functionality, an advanced MSE is going to serve most non-combat needs. For now, the main reason people are getting the more complex droids is for aesthetics or to have more modules at their disposal.

Unless, of course, the devs come to their senses and limit MSE droids to level-1 modules (my preference). I just refuse to make them, as they don't give me enough xp for my clicks.

And as you point out, when you want 3 or more modules, they won't do.

Over time I've graduated away from making MSE droids - when someone asks for one, I say that the psychic pain in creating one is too high. In fact I don't even make DZ70s either. I figure the starting DEs can make those, and I don't mind letting them sell their wares to people - it's not like there are too many of us DEs and the market is flooded.

Of the other droids I DO make, I put only level 2 modules in R5s - I treat them as "beginner" droids and advertise them as droids "for the economically challenged" or "new to the field" medic. It works for me!

As I understand it - the LE Repair Droid has a modifier that works on connection with a personal repair tool - increasing your chances for success when repairing stuff.

This should be applicable, much the same way a medical module allows you a stronger utilization when using a Stimpack.

The Droid Repair Module is an intirely different thing - in that it activates a new program on a droid that has this modules installed called "repair". Using this command will allow a droid with the Droid Repair Module - to actively "tend the wounds" of your target droid - and fix the black bars on a droid that has been "hurt" in battle.

As I dont have any weapons or armorcrafting skills, I havent been able to confirm the above statement about the LE Repair droid - but perhaps someone else can confirm that this is the way it is intended to work, and that it actually IS working?

Has anyone else noticed this problem?

LE Repair droids have no option to repair. I don't know if they've always been like this or this is new. I can take a repair module and throw it in an MSE and it works, but if I put it into an LE Repair droid there is no option to repair.

All I get is the standard options on the Converse menu. How do I program a repair command? IS there a default repair command that I can use? Is this a bug? If so what is the work around?

Thanks

It has been broken for awhile. It seems like any of the droids with the converse menu doesn't work.

**edit**..

I wish they would post known defects somewhere. I wasted resources building 3 LE Repair droids before I finally concluded that I wasn't doing something wrong

So basically if I'm smart I'd just stick that Lvl6 Med module and Repair module in an Adv MSE? I wish this type of thing could get added to the Dev wish list our correspondant makes.

MAN the devs better not be taking ANY time off anytime soon, NO vacations, NO holidays...yeah right.

(slumps off to bed)

You can even name coverse style droids now, WHY DONT THEY EVEN THINK AT ALL..!
