Just bought a droid and "programmed" it as per the FAQ.. how do i actually get it to do the things like guard/attack etc? Mine just follows me around. What do i type in to get it to do stuff?
What i mean is i've gone through the list of follow, guard, group, point, patrol, attack via the droids programming menu but i don't know how to call this up to make it do them. I've typed in its name followed by the command...for example... TX2 attack. But it always just follows...
It is a combat model by the way.
Thanks

You need to have an enemy targeted for it to attack. Also, reprogram the attack command to somthing simple, like at or att, that makes it easier not to make a mistake in spelling or capitalization....

OK, let's say you programmed it to 'guard' like this:
Bring up radial menu, select 'program' and 'guard'
Your droid gave you a ?
You said 'guard'
Your droid gave you a !
That means it now understands the 'guard' command.
Pull out the droid, and type 'guard'... It should start doing so.

I have problems from time to time with my droids. Usually one of three things is wrong....
1. The droid is out of batteries.
2a. When I trained it, I trained it with a name, but did not go back and retrain it without the name. So if I trained it to follow like this, "Bob follow" when I type "follow" it doesn't do anything because I have to type "Bob follow".
2b. When I trained it, I capitalized the command word. "Follow" does not equal "follow" to the droid.
3. I give it a command like "attack" or "guard" that requires something be targeted, and I don't have it targeted.
Good luck!

I've never been able to get the command to work if the command has a space in it. I've had to retrain the droid so the command doesn't have a space, and then it seems to work fine.
