does quality count here or is it just invisible ... otherwise one could just throw together an Adv r3 with all crafting stations build in or should you stack modules for a higher rating

Neither quality of resources nor experimentation will improve the performance of a crafting station module. And stacking them won't make a diff either. So yes, one can just throw all five stations into one droid and be done with it.
