Psst .. not all droids can have armor fitted.

Non Armor Droids

MSE, DZ70, R5, Treadwell, Power, R4, Surgical, Protocol

Unless of course they changed it in the last update

But looking pretty good. I think Straker was concentrating on the DE side of things. Oh reminds me .. need to update the parts I was doing *blush*.

Also,

Recharge Droid default command is Recharge

Repair Droid default command is Repair if I recall rightly.. will have to check when I log in next

Greetings fellow Droid Engineers and general forum-goers!

This thread is my first attempt at updating the existing Droid Engineer 101 guide up top. One thing I need to point out is that this guide is for droid users, not necessarily Droid Engineers. There are technical omissions for the sake of the non-DE user, which I thought was appropriate. Your input and suggestions are welcome, as I see this as a living document.

A big, huge, Thank You goes out to Drashk. I cut and paste the majority of the text from his original DE 101 stickie.

I will be updating this on occasion to reflectideas and feedback.

Duly noted, thanks for the input! As far as droid armor for those models, the advanced models do take armor, so for the sake of the non-DE person, I omitted the fact.

Pet Vitality Pack: A Bio-Engineer crafted item, it can be used to repair the Vitality damage on a droid. The Vitality Pack will repair X number of Vitality points to your droid, based upon the quality of the kit used. There is a chance that the maximum number of Vitality points that a droid has could be reduced with the use of a Vitality Pack. Pet Vitality Packs come in A, B, and C varieties.

There are DE crafted Droid Restoration Kits, which do the same and come in A/B/C/D varieties.

Also having a DE restore vitality damage lowers the chance of degrading the droid's vitality.

- missing info on surveying droid (not mentioned, but _very_ usefull for any artisan that needs raw resources).

DE's don't make anything that restores droid vitality, unfortunately. Sounds like you mean Droid Reconstruction Kits, that repair droid wounds. I didn't add the reconstruction kits to this guide because they can only be used by a droid engineer and are therefore useless to the droid consumer. And please correct me if I'm wrong in this, but don't wounds heal themselves over time now?

And I did include the Interplanetary Survey droids. I had to double-check.

Thanks for taking a look-see at this!

You're welcome, tho it was a bit early for me when i read it.

About the wounds, as far as i know, the reconstruction kits can be used by non-des too. Doubt if it will repair itself over time. But then again, I might be mistaken. Those kits are not really much sold or used at all (not even by me).

I am sure I checked the recon kits usage 1 or 2 publishes back and it would only let my DE use them. I sell them on the vendors with the note that only DEs can use them. However, they are also used in making Droidsmith toolbelts which Tailors can make so still a saleable item (although not that useful here).

Good point; I'll update it with that info.
