Thread: How many resources?

I checked the grinding thread and couldnt pinpoint the part where it told me how much it takes to grind this profession materials wise. It also seems like what to construct on the path has changed. If anyone could give me some generous (more than necssary better than less) estimates to completing this prof itd be appreciated greatly. Thanks.

That information can be found in thisgrinding thread

Here's a quick summary of what you want to know :

19500 metal and 5500 chemical to grind enough MSE droids to get Intermediate Droid Blueprints

14300 metal, 3960 ferrous metal, 13200 extrusive ore and 3300 chemical to grind enough Manipulator Arm Package Sets to get Expert Droid Blueprints (or you can continue grinding MSE droids instead, needing 26500 metal and 7500 chemical to progress to Expert Droid Blueprints)

Then 400k steel and 186k Fiberplast to grind enough Advanced Droid Frame Units to make it to Master Droid Engineer

Hope that helps

Yeah I took forever writing my post, and was doing other things at the same time. So when I finally posted, R0ZM4N had already posted hehe

Oh ok, cool. Thanks for doing that!

Originally I had all the text that you had, and highlighted the bits about resources needed, and what parts of the skill tree to get taught etc, and then at the end I did a summary of it. Then I decided if I'm going to do a summary, there's no point making people read a few paragraphs before it

Thanks again

Is there a way to estimate how many units of the different resouces a mob might have? For example, is there a formula to help tell how many units of meat I can expect to get off of any given animal? Or is there a place that document such a thing? My purpose is probably obvious, but I would like to know so that I can maximize my hunt time instead of wasting time harvesting a lesser giving mob. Thanks in advance.

It would be a horribly complex formula because you have to add in veghash, droids, and your own abilities + if youra trando. Your best bet is this.

The higher CL the higher the pull

go to www.swgcreatures.com hit advanced search and you can see what drops what on each planet and whats the largest to get

So you can assume that the higher the CL the more resources? I guess my guestion is, Bantha's are not as high a CL asLevisqualls(? or some such analogy), but are obviously bigger so in theory would have more meat... is that right or is CL the key? Since I have not fought everything in the game, I am not always sure what is bigger or carries more meat.

I don't think it's a linear form but it seems to be porpotional to Challange Level. Standard Durnis give me 8 and Crazed Durnis give me 25 and Rancors give me 200+. Thought experiment time...

Durni -> CL:7 -> xCL = 8
CD -> CL:10 -> xCL = 25
E. Rancor -> CL:80 -> xCL = 200

AVE(x) = 2.05

so my "educated" guess is something like twice the CL BUT there is the randomish skinny/med/healthy factor that should probably play a role as well.

hehe... No size doesnt matter.... hehe i said size

Actually a relic reaper quenker will give you more then a piket. Things like that dont make sense until you realize that CL level is actually relational to the denseness of the creature. So a crazed durni is the same size as a normal durni. But it packed far more tight and dense so it can absorb more damage then its more loose brother.

That is a great analogy Fodder... thanks. Hey Fred... I don't know if you remember me, but I am back in the game. I am on Eclipse and for about a month or so, I hunted with you and the AR. Edie is now an alt but I am ramping up my hunting skills again. Thanks for the info.
