Thread: WTB:High yield harvesting droid on Bloodfin

They won't be able to make the battery last any longer, but you might be able to find a droid with a slightly larger bonus... I've heard of them getting up to around 114 or so (not necessarily on bloodfin though). One thing to keep in mind is thats not a % like the medical modules is, its some form of sliding scale based on the droids skill versus yours, so you won't necessarily get 3x as large of a bonus with 115 versus 105... Anyway, you may want to check out this vendor list thread, has a lot of droid vendors across the galaxies.
Silly Comment: DE's should be able to place wind generators in the slots of astromechs as a form of self-recharging....I'd laugh myself silly if I say an R3 with a windmill poking out of it's dome. ![]()
Serious Comment: Has anyone tried to create a series of harvestor droids with different ratings (eg: 100,101,102,103,104,105) and test/graph the rating versus effectivness? I've seen tests where the droids was the "control" (static rating of 105) and the charachter started at hunting 4 and then dropped to hunting 3, hunting 2 then hunting 1 and novice scout. This mapped out the droids effectivness at various charachter skill levels, but not the droid itself.
I know these droids are expensive to make, but I'd be willing to sacrifice a several droids and the resources to guage the ratings effectivness. Perhaps start with ratings of 60,70,80,90,95 and 100, then go up by ones from there. The best I can do is 105 on Sunrunner. I could afford to lose 11 droids, finding a scout willing to take the time to test this might be tough.
