Greetings, I am an aspiring Doctor on Kauri and would like you fine Droid Engineers to help me out a wee bit. I have read many faqs but am still confused about the state of the art and don't want to become a DE - just use a good droid to assist me. As I understand it, I want a droid with a 110 medical rating - beyond that, I am very unclear of what to look for (or ask for) in a Droid assistant. Can someone please outline (simply) the options I need to consider? I do NOT want anything that is capable of fighting - just what a pure Doctor would find useful. This will very much aid me in my search on Kauri for a good Droid. I do appreciate your help.

There is actually a vast array of options on your droid. Check out the stickies, especially DE 101. Read about the modules, and get the ones you think would be most useful.

All depends on what kind of doctor you are.
110 Medical is a Given.
Item storage is useful if you carry lots of stuff. 10 item storage (the max) doesn't sound like much, but it's great for holding crates of things.
Food/Chem Crafting is useful when you need to craft (if you don't just buy your buff and wound packs)
Those are the most common 3 modules doctors find useful.
If you're a Merchant 4-x-x-x you could also get one that Barks, That is, advertises once every minute.
Data can be useful in limited situations (see a recent thread)

As far as the actual chassis of the droid (R2, R3, DZ70, Treadwell, BLL, etc) you don't need to look for anything in particular, they will all work just as well.

I've sold a number of R2 units with
Food/Chem craft table
110 Medical Rating
as well as the Stimpack Delivery system installed
The stimpack delivery may not be an UBER large heal, but if you create your own stim A's to put in, and youre good at assembling, you can get a pretty large amount of healing out of them.
Ive seen them used in groups a lot with the master doc doing heals, and the groupmates using the droid's /requestStim command to heal after the battles (so that the doc can get his mind back), as well as in the battle itself for a little punch extra of healing.
Anyhow, just another idea for you if you want to consider all the options available for a doctor.

Keeping in mind, that the max modules that can go into a droid is 6...
1) 110 Medical
2) 10 Item Storage
3) 150 Data storage
4) Food/Chem crafting
5 - 6)
A Stim Dispenser would be good also, if you're ever a group healer.
If you do any other crafting the appropriate crafting station may be useful.
AStructure Maintenance module might be a nice idea if you have harvs up alot gathering resources.
You may want to concider a repair module to help heal others droids (just a nice selling point while buffing or while a group healer).
If you have Advertising 4 in merchant, a barker module would save you the trouble of having a Buff spam macro going.
That's about the extent of it. From there, unless you're also a dancer/musician (where you could use a playback or effects module) there reallyisn't anything else you would find useful at all.
