First off this is not a nerf so no complaints please about it being one. Feel free to read my first post (stage 1) which covers the basic parts of what they can build at that point. This is not a post about making droids less useful but more true to their actual uses in the SWG. I will not be repeating anything that I feel is un-necessary to. Drasticdroid changes will be covered in full in stage 3 completely. Limits and options avaible to place into a droid are also going to be covered in this stage. This one is all about WHAT should be WHERE. At the end theres a brief description of what can contain what.

For starters I like the droid blueprints section. I say lets leave that as is.

Next up from right to left comes the refinement stage. This should give droid engineers the ability to improve parts and contain the intelligence chips for every level of advancement. Since master droid engineers can make droids focused to do one thing AMAZINGLY well stage 4 will allow them to nearly perfect a droid (after many attempts) piece by piece. Oh by the way intelligence chips are the backbone of this catagory and willreplace the personality chips. Stupid is the most basic of droid intelligence and additude under the novice first building selection. Since any droid parts you can build already will be capable of being more refined thru this stage mastery should allow the possiblity of perfecting every part you have under this catagory. As for the names beyond the first one I leave that to the devs.

After that is construction techniques. We're all diffrent, so we can build the droid any way we see fit. Thats what customization is for. Techniques are the stepping stones for building parts for a droid to allow it to do specifc functions. Perhaps being able to build Weapons, Droids, and general items for example. Maybe even building better armor units thru this line. Of course if a droid is just a moving station with multiple tools then they can't build the things on their own, but they can provide the specific tools to build it well. They're not really factorys anyways. Under this line put every construction station with the bigger the item being built the higher the position it gets put into. I know that you might complain but food and chemicals would be first. They just require proper spinning, cooking, roasting, or in mymothers caseburning to be prepared for use.Follow this up the line withWeapon droid and general, then structure stations with agrandending of a multi station tool slot. Twostation sets for the slot of one. A master can build one which holds all 3 of these stations in one slot.

Now then Droid production. This line will contain all the parts for a droid to use on itself. Yes, I said itself. Gather that up now as Medical modules are being used incorrectly at this time. They're allowing any droid to be a mobile hospital. This is not the effect they should be used for. It eliminates the usefulness of the Surgical droid (which should be it's specific specialty) and makes combat medics (capable of healing wounds and possibly even bringing people back from the brink of death who haven't activated their clones yet) and any other class that can save a life in battle useful again. Thus the medical module should be REMOVED and REPLACED with the diagnostics packages. This package determines how well a droid repairs itself. Other than that you have the data module which has a limit on how many waypoints (besides 1) a droid can contain at any given time. Since droids will nolonger be classified as data but as an entity that can be carried (some droids are bigger slots pieces than others) they will not be used to contain anything at all that is living or capable of moving on its own. Item storage modules will be classified in 2 ways. One by Maximum item size, and one for maximum ammount of resource storage. While some modules can not be installed in some droids (yea... mouse carrying a tank, i beleive that for about .0000002nanoseconds) these items can be limited on what level of droid you can put them into. I put a suggestion under the Stage 1 post. That still applys here and I will not be repeating it.

This covers my suggestions on what should be where higher in the tree than the basics.

Now then some droids are specialtys that must contain specific items so they're not given any slots to do anything else. A protocal droid is a perfect translation unit. Can't do much else though. Surgical and repair droids also. As for selections link the board as follows. Diagnostic packages can be put into ANY droid regardless of what type. Datapads also. Item storage however can only be put into a droid of at least the same level (level 2 into any droid beyond the basics, 3 into any R2 or bigger, 4 into advanced R2s and up. 5's into binary load lifter. And 6 is capable of holding the biggest items and the most amazing ammounts of raw materials for the advanced load lifter.

Thats it for the night... enjoy.
