ok...im realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly pisssed off at the moment so please understand

But i just paid 35k for a "crafting" droid, and i went into overt combat and yes now its dead and long gone...and ok..all except for one teeeeny weeeeny lil thing...

...NO ONE TOLD ME THEY CAN DIE!!!!!!!! I am so pissed off its not funny! if I had known this i would never have left my droid out! but the part that angers me such is it was a CRAFTING droid fpr gawds sakes!...no defense no offense...just crafting!! and they arent cheap..i labored my f' n arse off for that thing all to be gone in 1 second

how hard would it be to have a LITTLE message when receiving droids that says...ok get this DEVS.....u ready? ok heres goes!!! "this droid is not safe from being killed and lost forever!" now see is that sooo HARD???

P.S. anyways DE's please tell people they can die too when you sell(thisa isnt your fault by any means)

Well, they are fixing permadeath on droids, so in a few weeks when it hits all servers, we won't have this problem. But I think a lot of DE's will do as I do and assume that everyone reads their patch information before logging in. There's a lot of important information there.

Oh, and the Dev's don't read this forum.

35k for a crafting droid? Just curious, what kind was it?

I only charge 5k for my crafting droids, but at the moment I can only make weapon/ droid crafting modules on R5, Treadwell, DZ70, or MSE, which don't take up too much resources anyways, so who knows, maybe by the time I can make what you had, I'd be charging that much also.

As has been already stated, it's been in the patch notes about droid permadeath(you really should read those), its been well talked/complained about, it's also been happening for a long time.

Despite all that tho, the DE you bought it from really should have commented/warned you about the permadeath issue. It was a little irresponsible of him/her, in my opinion. I always remind my customers about permadeath and to be careful with droids, especially with the more expensive crafting droids.

So blame the DE if you want and never buy from them again, however remember it is also your responsibility to keep up with the game and patch notes.

Permadeath will be leaving soon, thank goodness. Not soon enough tho!

Dek I am sorry but read the patch notes. I get complaint after complaint on that even when I tell a person not to take them out in dangerous areas they do it anyways and it is dead. The customer expects a free then. Even though it has chilled out some. But when I tellt hem to read the patch notes. I usally get a response like this "I only read my class info" Here lies alot of peoples problems, I remember when I was in elementry I had a test. The test was a 100 questions the Teacher said Read it first then complete the test. Well off I go answering of the questions! to come to question 100 and it says no complete questions 1 to 5 and go to early recess. heheh

That's of course possible. However, I find it difficult to believe that a DE who can make a 35k crafting droid doesn't know about permadeath. In that case I suppose he/she doesnt know that storage modules work now either? I would consider a DE who doesn't read the patch notes, regarding their own profession, irresponsible as well, since they can't properly inform customers of changes and updates.

Then again if it wasnt a combat droid the DE may not have expected this guy to take it into combat

One of the beautiful things about having a crafting droid is the freedom of movement it allows. Plenty of times I am out in the desert with my crafting R3 droid, named Zippy (after my dog ), running right behind me. Sometimes combat just happens (whether it's sudden pops ofkreetles, desert demons or whatever) and there isn't much you can do to avoid it. That's why I always mention the droid death issue to customers so, at the very least, they aren't rudely surprised or shocked like the original poster was.
