Thread: New novive DE looking for pointers from the pros.
Hello. I just got into DE yesterday and have been crafting mouse droids with medical modules like a mad man! But anyways, I was wondering if I could get some tips on the best ways to level up, what modules to make first, good resources etc.
I look forward to making droids, seems fun to me so far! boo yeah.

That's right, I spelled it 'novive.' Hooray for not checking my post over!
Harvest your own resources.
Don't listen the more vocal and caustic people here.
Be a Master Artisan.
Treat your customers well.
Find a Master Droid Engineer on your server who is willing to take on an apprentice.
Be a Master Artisan, your going to have massiveproblems if you don't. M-Arts have some of the most vital components for DE's, none of our high end and even some of our low end droids can't be built without their components. For tips on the best way to level I'd recommend doing the Mice until you get Blueprint I. At that time everyone seems to have their own suggestion for what to grind to get to Blue II, I did R5's, not the most efficient, but one of the faster.
Once you attain Blueprints II you'll have received the schematic for Advanced Droid Frame Units. These little suckers use 150 steel and 70 fiberplast but they are by and large the most efficient and sanity saving way to grind from then to overall mastery of the profession. Now at this point I grinded to Blueprint III for the basic Probot. Probots now might be a shadow of what they once were, but they are still a valuable tool for saving your hide. My two Probots, Sparks and Twitch, have time and time again been all that has stood between me getting to my harvesters and becoming lunch for the local big toothed nasties... even if they are both on their seventh or eighth incarnations, blasted perma-death.
After Blueprint III, do Droid Production I. This will give you the General Droid/Weapon crafting module, it acts like a private crafting station. Then proceed to work your way through Droid Construction techniques I and II so you get the food/chemical crafting module, this will be one of your biggest sellers for modular components.
from this point on I say grind where you want, you've got most of the basics for getting at least a little money comming back in the coffers.
Seekers and Arakyd Probe Droids are vital to Bounty Hunters and with the changes that are comming in soon we'll actually make a profit on them, best of all they are both low end droids. Don't bother using high end resources for them as they are throw away droids with a limited number of uses. A BH droid will be used up at the end of a mission for them and they have to buy new ones. The changes will give the droidscharges so each can be used a couple times. This might sound bad for us when you first hear it, but if will actually be good for us. BH's could not afford to pay a price which would allow us to break even on material costs, charges will let us make a profit and let them make a profit.
Probots, they've been nerfed but if you use them wisely, people still can use them effectively in hunting. I've actually found a good market for them is ironically Creature Handlers.
Module tips and warnings:
- A package set that always sells well is a medical module and a chemical/food crafting module. This will allow medics, combat medics and doctors to craft high end medical materials in the field as well as give them a bonus when using them.
- Armour is capped at 40% on droids for some strange reason so armour modules level 5 and 6 are effectively useless as a level 4 suits all needs.
- If you place more than one crafting module in a droid your wasting slots. A long standing bug makes it so if there is more than one only one of them will ever work.
That's about all I can think of for now, the only remaining advice is to keep an eye on this board, read everything and love abuse, the Devs just heap it on us by the truckload.
The two above said it quite well and werevery constuctive comments. thanks for the positive attitude! Keep the faith!
