Thread: Droids and Factory Production
Can Droids be created in factories like Medics can use Food and Chem. factories to make Stim's?
For some reason I can make components without any trouble but when I create the droids with the factory it always fails! It doesn't matter if the components are manually made or if they are factory identical. It also doesn't matter if the components are singles or if they are in the factory crates. HELP.
If we are unable to do this can this please be added to the list of issues to be corrected for our class?
Yeah, I can take factory identical items with the same serial number for everything but the raw resources for each and put them in and it always fails.
It sits there for about 5 min then sends me an in game e-mail and it says that it has finished and 0 droids were created.
Is there something that bugs the factories that can keep them from working on these?
I've had some runs that completed and some that quit out int he middle and still some others that dont want to start. Usually re-deeding the factory or making a new schematic helps.
One tip: If the run fails the first time try redeeding it first before trying to force a run right away again, thats how resources and components get eaten. Also before you redeed be sure to remove your original schematic.
Good Luck!

First, verify the serial numbers of the sub-components you are using against those called for in the schematic. They must be the same. Either look at the schematic in your datapad or load the schematic into the factory and do a "list ingredients" and compare this to the SNs in an "examine" of the sub-components you are using.
Second, remember that factory crates as input is flaky at best. To ensure results, you must uncrate all input items.
Finally there is currently a bug where your factory will only produce a total of 100 items per server reboot (which right now is per day). If all else fails, do a Destroy Structure on your factory and place the deed again. Any power and maintenance in the factory will still be there when you place the deed again, and the usual 3K of maintenance it takes to do this won't be charged to you as this is disabled because of this bug. The bug is fixed in the current Test Center patch.
