Yeah, we know. Believe me, we know. We've heard this story plenty of times. The Devs decided to put a very nice "perma-kill" option in the droid conversation window. Trust me, you aren't the first person to have this happen.

Sweet lord, came on to this forum looking for an affirmation if this was happening to anyone else, guess its true...I didnt even get to say goodbye to my Advanced 3PO Level 6 Item and Medical modules, Worshipping personality, Level 4 armor......ugh.....

Looks like the update you did dropped you back to software-only rendering. Alternatively, you've got an older card, and the latest drivers have decided to handle the shaders as multipass software rendering. Check on your graphics options before you start the client to see if anything has changed there.

The Devs do not surprise me anymore. Store command is in the datapad, and dismiss is on the droid itself. Should be the other way around.

Relax, kids, this has been addressed already by Holocron in the notes for an upcoming publish. Find the thread in the Dev Tracker called "Remaining correspondent issues" or something very much like that. They're COMPLETEY removing release/dismiss commands and forcing all destroys for all pets to come from the radial menu on the datapad. That's it.

It'll be ok.

Still, this should be put into the open, like a warning placed in a patch message or so til they get it fixed...I payed 50,000 credits for an Advanced Protocol droid with all the trimmings, and to see a 'dismiss' command and think it was an easier way to store my droid...only to have it be an instant 50,000 credits 30 seconds after i bought the thing is just....so so wrong

Not QUITE. The "You are dismissed" commands will remain on converse objects, but will be changed to be the store command instead of the destroy command. And yes, the Store option is coming back to the radial - the CH developer removed it to make his life easier. Hrrumph.
